Pedi and Mani Friday

This was an extremely busy week for me, so I opted to remain low-key on my days off.  Our PAT educator was scheduled for a visit, but she has pink eye.  So, we went for a Kmart shopping trip (they are closing and I'm waiting for good deals on toys).  When we got home, we decided to paint our fingers and toes. It's still a bit tricky with a 2 and 3 year old-but we managed!  Here are the pretty girls with their pretty, pretty nails!

Happy 11 Months Princess!!

Happy 11 Months Miss Natalie!!  We love you to the moon and back and can't believe you've been with us almost a year now.  When I think about where we were a year ago, I was a swollen uncomfortable mess, but you are SOOOO worth it.  You are still happy and quite content.  You weigh 20 lbs. 8 oz. and you love eating everything we eat.  You are saying, "Dada, Mama, and all sorts of babbling".   Watch out, your BIRTHday is coming and we have all sorts of surprises planned for you.  WE LOVE YOU!!

It's been awhile….

I apologize for MIA, but we've had a busy few weeks.  It seems like once the weather turns warm, I tend to book our calendar.  And I'm not going to lie, the school year is dwindling, so I feel like I can get together with "MY" friends for an evening dinner and not feel guilty.  With that being said, we've been busy with a school music program, gymnastics (yes, Kianna is in gymnastics-thanks to a very special someone), St. Patty's Day, Natalie turning 10 months old, and a few MOMs Club events.

Kyle performed in his school music program and it was super cute!  Growing up at Holy Cross, we didn't have these programs, rather a school musical-so, it was fun watching him in the musical realm.   He also read 1,000 books and over spring break, he read 1,100 books (or chapters in his case).  He's growing up way too fast, but he's OH, so much fun!  I love talking books with him and I love his sense of humor.  He's so innocent.

Kianna is now going to gymnastics on Tuesday evenings.  She absolutely LOVES it and actually does quite well.  It's been fun watching her be somewhat independent and watch her personality blossom.  She even has a few friends that she laughs with.  Since joining gymnastics, her shyness isn't quite as apparent.  She even volunteered to be the moon at a library program with our MOMs club.

Natalie is 10 months old, (yes, I know-almost 11 months, but who is counting??).  She has started clapping and saying, "yaaaayyyy".  She definitely says, "dada".  Her Daddy just loves this and eats it up.  Natalie is still the happiest baby and laughs at everything.  Yes, she's definitely mine!  Those who know me, know that I laugh at everything.  We've been to the doctor a few times this month because of a left ear infection.  Don't be surprised when she needs tubes down the road-hey, I'm just preparing myself!  But this month she weighs 20 lbs. 6 oz.  This last appointment, I discussed our concerns about not wanting to walk or even interested in standing.  We are going to try some at-home interventions before we explore the next steps-no pun intended, the next few weeks.  Otherwise, Natalie is eating most foods, LOVES playing at the park, and loves her dog, Cole.  (She does enjoy watching Disney movies-but don't tell the authorities on me).

I've referred to my MOMs club and this is something that I joined because when I went part-time, I still wanted my kids to have some sort of social outlet.  Don't get me wrong, I love to stay inside and play as well, but this has been a good way to help me come up with some social activities.  Most activities are free (or cheap) and this is a good way for me to meet other moms.  We try to do participate in 1-2 activities a week and one place my friend and I LOVE is a community center out south.  You can tell the girls love it too.  Kianna loves to run the entire gym and Gracie stays in her car the ENTIRE 2 hours!  I think her Mommy and Daddy need to be concerned when she turns 16-she probably won't get out of her car!

I will leave you with a few pictures of the past few weeks.  Please note, these are in no particular order.  Enjoy!
